Odisi band was formed in 2002, when a young group of talented guys brought fresh, quality music straight out of Brick Kiln, Nevis.
In 2003, with its first hit and strong Road March contender, "Spratt Water" the band was officially catapulted unto the St. Kitts/Nevis music scene. It was also the year of their debut CD album suitably entitled The Journey Begins.
Continuing the journey, Odisi released its second album Squeeze Dem in July 2004 for the Nevis Culturama festivities. Then in December the single "Bounce U Partner" was released for St. Kitts' Carnival. One year later, the Solid as a Rock album debuted with even more hype and acclaim than the first two albums. Singles like the title track "Solid as a Rock", "Still Tramping" and "Summer Time" ruled the airwaves taking the Odisi Band to another level. The band gained both national and regional recognition, performing in Anguilla and neighboring St. Kitts.
Riding a wave of hits, the Odisi Band finally attained its first Road March title for Nevis Culturama 2006, with the hit “Can’t Do It Like We” off of its 4th album Do It Like We. In addition, the band sealed the deal with a very successful J’ouvert 2006.
The 2008 release, Untouchable was an immediate hit. Featuring hit singles like "Go Gal", "De Real Edge", "Wine Pon Me" and the unstoppable "Iron Band Jam", the album propelled Odisi to "lock the city" and established them as the premier band on Nevis.
2009 was definitely Odisi’s year. The band has been fully established as the “fan’s band” or the “people’s band”. 2009 also saw Odisi win their second roadmarch title with the ever-popular song “See De Sweetness Dey” and the best selling album to date A So We Party. Odisi also won two band clash titles; Culturama’s “King of The Jungle” and Mega Bash’s “Real Band Clash”.
In the summer of 2009, Odisi Band was given its first opportunity to take its act to the USA. The band was invited to perform at a number of events surrounding the West Indian Day Carnival in New York City. On the way back home, the band stopped in to St. Thomas USVI, to give the fans there a taste of De Sweetness. The mini tour deemed mighty successful for Odisi.
Hits, fans, jams and albums, Odisi Band is making promising strides, providing quality music and is well poised for reaching international status.
